It's All in My Name

I think your whole life shows in your face and you should be proud of that.

Is it okay if I take a minute to pinch myself? I have butterflies in my stomach as I write this post. It doesn’t feel real yet - the blog is actually live.

I’m Lauren Elizabeth, a girl with a dream of becoming a VP of Marketing. While I haven’t achieved it yet, I’m doing everything I can to make progress. Including creating the Lauren Elizabeth brand and stepping into my name. I was named after two very strong women, Lauren Bacall and Lauren Hutton. While neither were born into the name, they chose to change their name to Lauren. When I think about my future, I envision being introduced as Lauren Elizabeth in boardrooms, public speaking engagements and new business opportunities.

We have to be able to grow up. Our wrinkles are our medals of the passage of life. They are what we have been through and who we want to be.
— Lauren Hutton

My mom always pictured me signing Lauren Elizabeth. Until now, I had removed my middle name due to teasing when I was growing up. Yes, teasing. So today, I am using my new signature here, on my blog. I challenge you to take a look at your name and the brand you’ve created and see if it’s supporting the goals you’ve set.

Speaking of goals, when was the last time you set one? Have you revisited ones you set in years past? Tired of the same old goal setting strategy? Stay tuned for my next blog post that will cover the things you should know about goals.
